Our students have the opportunity to take part in a wide range of activities, including interschool sports, school teams, music tuition, choir, dance and Kapa Haka.


Extracurricular Activities at Windy Ridge Primary

At Windy Ridge Primary School, we offer a range of extra-curricular activities that help students explore their passions, develop new skills and connect with others.

Students can take part in:

Sports and Fitness

Extracurricular Sports Activities

Students from Year 2-6 participate in our Water Safety programme. They are taught water safety and basic swimming skills at AUT Millennium Pool or Beach Education at Mairangi Bay where students learn about keeping themselves safe at the beach with trained Life Guards.

Windy Ridge enters teams into both afterschool sports and cluster sports competitions:

  • Basketball

  • Netball

  • Football

  • Touch & Rippa Rugby

  • Cross Country

  • Athletics
