Kia Ora Koutou, Ni Hao, Konichiwa, Namaste, Fakalofa Lahi Atu, Talofa Lava, Hello Everyone
I am honoured to be the Principal at Windy Ridge School, where we are proud of our uniqueness and share a passion in supporting learners to discover a love for learning.
Windy Ridge School is a rich and stimulating multicultural environment which enjoys strong home school partnership. We are passionate about providing an environment that focuses on growing the whole child, and value the contribution that we enjoy from our Kāipatiki community to make this happen.
Through our exciting and stimulating play based learning approach we promote natural curiosity and enthusiasm with all of our learners. Our early years philosophy focuses on the childs’ ability and readiness to learn, and sets them up for success to become successful lifelong learners. Further up the school, play is used to channel inquiry and wonderment fueling each learners’ exploration and inquiry around their passions and interests. Students are fully supported through our learning support and gifted and talented provision and all programmes are differentiated to meet the individual needs of each learner.
I am blessed to work with an amazing team of teachers, learning assistants, leaders and administrative staff who pride themselves on knowing every student in our school. The entire Windy Ridge team are highly collaborative in their approach to providing each and every child the best possible learning outcomes.
We offer a rich and diverse extra-curricular programme. Children have the opportunity to follow their cultural, sporting, environmental and artistic interests. We have Kapa Haka and a Pacifica Group, Choir, a range of sports teams and clubs, enviro club, and other fun lunchtime activities.
We look forward to getting to know you and working with your child when they join the Windy Ridge Whānau.
