BRRRR, we can feel winter has finally arrived, we have plenty of exciting things happening here at Highbury House that can add some sunshine to your life.
We want to start by thanking the sponsors and those who attended our Early Learning Centre fundraiser at Moxie. The night was a great success raising $10k towards a new play area for the tamariki.
For those who are interested in health and wellness, we have some fabulous options for you here over the next few weeks. Learn how to make your own Mozzarella or Sauerkraut at our fantastic Kai Workshops. Pasta Making with Cosimo, or come to one of our educational health talks on eating well on a budget and digital detoxing!
This month we celebrate Matariki, with events taking place between June 15th and June 28th. We have two great Matariki-themed family art workshops happening here on Sunday June 23rd, see details below.  We are also working with Birkenhead Library to bring you a fantastic short story writing competition for our intermediate aged children. Kaipatiki Korero Paki is open to all students living in the Kaipatiki area.
Our Food together Pop-Up now gives you the option to order groceries along with your $15 bags. This is a good option for those shopping on a budget.
And last but certainly not least, we will be saying a sad goodbye to our amazing manager Angela this month. She has been here for the past 8 & 1/2 years so she will be missed by all. She has done an amazing job here at Highbury House and in the local community. We wish her all the best in her new pursuits. Come along to our farewell event on June 11th 12 - 1.30pm, where we are giving everyone the opportunity to say goodbye in person. RSVP 4805279 or admin@highburyhouse.org.nz
Dear families,
Walking school buses are a great way for your kids to travel to school in the morning with their friends and peers, and adult supervision to keep them safe. It’s fun, free and everyone gets some exercise.

Would you like your child to join a Walking School Bus? Are you able to commit to at least one day a week to run the Walking School Bus? We need adults to support us. Please contact Jane Brown if you are able to assist with supervision on any of the below routes.

Route A (Redfern Lane)

Route B (Embassy Place)

Route C (Roberts Road)

Route D (feeder route to Roberts Road)
