Welcome to Week 3
News from the Principal
Kia ora e te whānau
What amazing weather we have had to start our school year - welcome to the first full week back at school. I have spent a lot of time in the playground and out supporting road patrol and it has been great catching up with you and our tamariki, so thank you for stopping to chat! One thing I have noticed is how strong that sun can be. At Windy Ridge we love having fun in the sun (riding cardboard is a current favourite) we have a sun smart policy and encourage hat wearing - ngā mihi nui to everyone who is wearing their hat and putting on some sunscreen.
I would like to take a moment to thank a few of our staff who work hard behind the scenes to make Windy Ridge the amazing place it is. Suzanne Boyce, Carmen Yiu and Peter Brooksbank. These people work tirelessly to not only keep our school looking good, but keep it running smoothly. Next time you see one of these members of staff - say thank you, if will certainly bring a smile to their faces.
Don't forget about our Picnic on the Green tomorrow evening from 5pm-7pm. Come on down with your family and bring a picnic, catch up with friends and perhaps even make some new ones. I am looking forward to an evening full of fun and connections. See you there.
Nga mihi nui
