Week 6, Term 2
News from the Tumuaki / Principal
Kia ora e te whānau o Windy Ridge School
While it has been a short week it has still been a busy week at Windy Ridge School. Today we enjoyed a day of wheels, with our Travelwise Team, Mrs Brown and Nikita supporting fun games and wheel based activities as well as some essential safety tips and learning, helping to keep our children safe when scooting and biking.
On Thursday, three Rippa Rugby teams proudly represented our school at Kaipātiki Park, playing against local schools. True to Auckland's nature, we had sun, wind, and rain, but the children had a great time getting covered in mud while displaying sportsmanship and integrity. A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support them!
Our ERO report has been published and is now visible on our website. You can read the full report by clicking this link. https://www.windyridge.school.nz/
Date for the future...
We will be holding parent teacher meetings next term on Tuesday 15 July and Wednesday 16 July (school will not be closing early for these). Bookings can be made via Hero later this term. These sessions will be for you and your child's teacher to discuss your child's progress report and next learning goals. It will also be an opportunity to talk the new curriculum and progress indicators. Reports will be shared via Hero on Thursday 26 June. Later next term we will hold a session including the children, allowing children to share their learning with you.
