Welcome to Week 8
News from the Principal
Kia ora e te whānau
I just loved the twinkly stars on the ceiling of the Life Education Caravan when I was in Primary School. The lights were dimmed and the stars twinkled away as we sat focusing on our breathing. Corrin was my educators' name and I loved climbing the stairs and taking part in the lessons. Lights, music, Harold the Giraffe, interactive resources and all to help me understand having a healthy body and healthy mind.
Over the next two weeks, Grace, our Life Education educator will be joining team Windy, along with Harold of course! Each child will receive 2 sessions in the caravan and will be bringing home a workbook to share in their learning with you. I have always loved school and it is often joked in my family that I went to school, only to go back to school, to end up in a school! Life Education helps to make education and schools a fun place to be, where learning can happen in a fun and interactive environment.
So, next week, ask your child "what did you learn from Harold today" and they might just surprise you with their answer.
Thank you to all the families and friends, those in NZ and those far away for sponsoring our tamariki in the up and coming Colour Fun Run. We are not far off our target to slime a teacher ... I wonder who it will be?
Have a great week everyone
