Inquiry Learning

We see Inquiry as central to our play-based/experiential pedagogy. As students engage with their passions and interests, they naturally engage in a cycle of wondering, exploring, communicating and reflecting:

  • Wonder
Students wonder and create questions, they hypothesise and make plans focusing on how they can find new information, and grow new knowledge and understanding.

  • Explore
Through examining the world around them and developing research skills, our students examine and test their conceptual thinking to arrive at a new and deeper understanding.
  • Communicate
As students find answers to their wonderings they use multiple methods to communicate, present and explain new learning and understanding.
  • Reflect
An important aspect of Inquiry is being able to reflect on the process and learning outcomes. It allows students to refine their ability to inquire in the future.
