DOMESTIC STUDENTS 

To request an enrolment pack please contact the school office – 444 3105 or offi[email protected]

Please complete the enrolment form and returned to the school office with the following supporting documentation.

1. Copy of students passport or birth certificate

2. If not a New Zealand citizen, a copy of the students resident visa.

3. Copy of the students latest immunisation certificate.

4.Proof of residential address  ie: power bill or rental / house purchase agreement

NEW ENTRANT STUDENTS 

It is essential that children are enrolled before their fifth birthday. Their birth certificate (or passport) must be available at the time of enrolment.  Children starting school in NZ for the first time will also need to provide immunisation records.   New entrants are given dates for transition visits which are held on Thursday from 9am – 11am and a parent or caregiver must attend with the student.

Windy Ridge School starts new 5 year olds at the start of each term, in cohort entry. Cohort entry involves a group of similarly aged new entrant students starting school together, rather than individually. Students would begin school on the term start date closest to their fifth birthday, rather than on their actual birthday. Cohort entry helps children to transition more positively into school, build relationships with their classmates and supports a smoother entry to school life.

FAMILIES NEW TO NZ 

New residents to New Zealand must provide passports with current residency, or work permits.

For families living outside of our school zone, please visit the Enrolment Zone page for more information about that process.  Acceptance letters will be sent to all parents of successful applicants.

 

All applicants will be advised in writing of the status of their enrolment.
