A Squishy Crime

By Taylor  Age 8

One cold ordinary winter day, the school bell rang. I was speed walking to room 10 that was my class. There was usually a swan plant that held a green chrysalis on the way to room 10. It was beautiful beyond imagination. Except on this particular day, it wasn’t there. I decided to look for it. It couldn’t have gone far.

I found it on the ground. I felt so horrified and sad. I gently cupped my hands under it and shot to the office. I rang the bell. It wasn’t the school bell but a small one. I told Mrs Green and she said that it was dead and I could keep it.

I brought it to the classroom and showed the whole class news time.
